Walking up the road a bit you'll get to this spur before the tunnel walk up that spur.

Quite quick to the top of Myoshingatake 明神ヶ岳. Another Osaka 50 peak off the list.

Made a mistake and walked under the powerlines a bit. Thankfully I got this great view of Kameoka and Atago-san. I doubled back to where I was able to get back on the trail, however there was another trail to get me on track between here and the next photo.

Here's where I should have turned right and gone down that slope. Go down then back up and back down to get onto the trail to the Kaitenjyo bus stop. If you go left here you can find another trail between here and the previous photo to get there also.

Yep, out of the hills and back on the forest road. I've been here before.

Only 3 busses or so a day! Lucky to see one! Haha.

So after walking past the power station when the road makes a right hand curve there's a metal inoshihi fence that's open looks like someone's house but I think that's the trail. Walk by the houses and up into this overgrowth.

So the trail has been fenced off. You can get through here by uniting a string holding the fence together. No need to jump over. Make sure to tie it back after you pass through please.

This section is littered with downed trees. I just took a random route and had to bushwhack up a steep slope. It was fun but hard. If I went more to the left I should have found some steps and a trail.

The actual trail has plastic steps like these.

Sometimes it's hard to find the steps so look carefully.

Up on the ridge this section was wonderful. This fallen tree is being held up by two living ones.

Behind the tomb there's a sign for this mountain Ōshio-san 大塩山. Good place for lunch.

Passing all the radio towers the exit is here. Again my GPS + maps made it look further down the road but this is right. Down here there's a 90° turn to the left and a steep slope. That's the trail. Pretty slippery for 5min or so, be careful.

Entering the temple grounds costs \300. I paid on my way out. Worth it.

My goal was to get to Yoshimine-dera 善峯寺. In the parking lot for Konzō-ji there's a big sign. Ingore that a little up the slope there's this sign. Follow it up the hill. Pretty cool section here with a waterfall.

Some road walking here. Pretty nice but watch out for cars going too fast on this small, steep road.

And you'll pop out of this section around here. I thought this would be Yoshimine-dera, but it was wrong it's a different temple called Sanko-ji 三鈷時.

Sanko-ji is free to enter and has amazing views of the Kyoto basin. I even saw some snow remaining on some of the peaks in Shiga.

I was planning on going to Yoshimine-dera but this trail looked too beautiful to pass up. At the bottom of these stairs make a right.

Back on the road I decided to walk it all the way to Higashimuko Station. But stopped in at Jyūrin-ji 十輪寺 to check out this tree. There's another more famous tree inside too and a kilm up on the hill. Very pretty worth the entrance fee. Also a bus stop right out front if you want a ride home.

I decided to walk to the station. For the most part it was pretty with some sections near a river.
